  Admissions Policy
The American International School in Egypt accepts students who can be successful in a college preparatory program.

Students applying for admission are considered on an individual basis. Enrollment will be finalized after evaluation of previous school records, completion of school admissions examinations, and a personal interview with the Superintendent or his designee.

Students with mild special needs or learning difficulties may also apply for admission to AIS.

All students admitted to the American International School in Egypt must live with parents or an authorized adult guardian. When a student does not live with a parent, the Superintendent or his designee must interview and approve in writing the adult guardian.

  Enrollment Procedures
  1. New students applying for enrollment at AISE will submit the following documents to the Registrar's Office:
  • Application form duly completed
  • Academic reports for the previous two years (three years for High School applicants)
  • Photocopy of birth certificate (for Egyptians)
  • Photocopy of passport (for non-Egyptians)
  • Three copies of a recent photograph
  • Letter of good conduct/ reference from previous school (can be presented at end of current school year)

2. Once the file is complete, the day and time will be set for an interview and (for grades 1-12) for a written test of skills in reading, writing, grammar, and mathematics (Testing Fee: $25). Students transferring from an accredited American school and whose records are in good standing may be exempted from the test.

3. Following notification of acceptance, the non-refundable one-time $1,500 registration fee must be paid within seven business days to ensure a place.

4. In case the student meets the admission requirements but there is currently no place available at that grade level, the student will be placed on a waiting list in chronological order according to date of registration fee payment.

5. Enrollment is always conditional upon the student’s successfully completing the school year (or term) at the current school and submitting final grades and the letter of good conduct.
