Welcome to AIS Egypt Elementary School |
AIS Egypt is a wonderful place for children to begin their
education. We teach children the knowledge, skills, and values
that enable them to become productive citizens. However, we have
another equally important goal; we want students to love
learning, develop the skills to make this possible and then
become life-long learners.

Our Curriculum: |
From their first days at AISE, students are active participants
in their learning. Caring and experienced Elementary School
teachers work with and assist their students in progressing
through the meticulously developed curriculum. Programs in
Language Arts, Math, Social Studies, and Science are
complimented by classes in Music, Art, Computer, Drama, Library,
and Physical Education. English skills are developed through
interaction with the teachers and with other students, as well
as through intensive reading programs, reading marathons, and
Reading Buddy programs that pair older and younger elementary
students.
We follow National Standards for student achievement developed
in the United States. We use textbooks and materials from the U.
S. and provide students with the same educational experience
that they would have in an American school stateside. |

How we are organized: |
The Elementary School has eight levels of classes:
- Pre-Kindergarten for students aged
three by December 31;
- Kindergarten I for those aged four;
- Kindergarten II for those aged five;
and
- Grades 1-5
English as a Second Language (ESL) classes are available for
students who would benefit from additional development and
support in English. Arabic and Arabic as a Foreign Language
(AFL) classes are offered one period a day beginning in Grade 1.
Voluntary Religion classes are available once a week beginning
in Grade 1.
Our small class size helps students learn to solve problems,
create products, and make meaning out of information in an
American educational context.
English – the language of instruction and all conversation:
Our students are expected to speak English while on campus, even
during lunch and play time. This helps build vocabulary and
fosters retention of language skills. |
“Panther Pride” |
Students are expected to respect themselves and all others. The
Panther is our school mascot, and students are taught about
respect and cooperation and asked to model each part of the
Panther acronym (Polite, Accepting, Noble, Thoughtful, Helpful,
Encouraging, and Respectful). In the Panther Student Recognition
program, daily appropriate behavior, academic achievement,
wearing uniform, speaking English, and doing homework earn
students Panther Points, incentives, and weekly and monthly
recognition.

than 54,000 LE for Habitat for Humanity, thereby providing
housing for nine families.
- Annual Spring Sports Day
- Egypt Day celebration.
- Three times a year there are
special after-school sessions of classes in art, crafts,
