American International School of Egypt - East Campus







Counseling at AISE, in high school, is designed to assist students in the following areas: personal counseling, career choices, organization and study skills, post-secondary counseling, preparation for standardized tests (SAT, ACT) and any other areas the counselors can help.


Duties of our counselors:
  • Scheduling for students new to the school
  • Course changes where warranted
  • Setting up parent/ teacher conferences
  • Attending probation meetings, both academic and behavioral
  • Personal counseling
  • Organization and study skills, how to prepare for tests and exams, test anxiety and other academic strategies
  • Career counseling
  • Arranging visits from college representatives to AISE
  • Other related duties as the need arises.

 Class of 2012 -The Year Ahead

During the 2011-2012 school year, students will complete the following :

 September       UCAS application for medicine done.
        Passport copies given.
        Finalized their list of overseas colleges.
        Meet their counselor
        Study hard as colleges look carefully at first quarter grades.
 October       Start to prepare college application.
        Early decision and early action deadline
        Grade 11 students will take the PSAT at our school
 November       Continue to see their counselor.
 December       Dec 1st is deadline for all overseas college applications to be given
        to counseling office.
 January       Start AUC application.
 May       May 1st deadline to decide if they wish to attend college in USA.
 June       Graduation.



An important role carried out by the High School Counseling program is to assist students to make the best choices for continued educational opportunities beyond High School, both locally and internationally.

Individual meetings are held between students and Counselor to discuss preferences for University and College entrance. Each student's GPA, overall school performance and personal preferences and interests are considered before advice is given.
