Performing Arts

At AIS Egypt, we recognize the unique role that the visual arts play in our students' ability to think creatively, problem solve, and collaborate with others. Starting in the early years, we explore a variety of art forms and media as well as provide diverse exposure to culture, art history, and contemporary artworks. We couple refining technical skills with developing the conceptual qualities of students' work. We strive to provide students with choice and freedom in their art making in order to differentiate for individual student needs, challenge students to think creatively and for themselves, and stop students from seeking the right answer—and instead ask questions, experiment, challenge, and create. Through all of this, our AIS students develop a joy and passion for the arts as well as visual literacy that will empower and equip them with widely applicable and relevant 21st century skills.
